Original French semi-hard cheese Morbier is characterized with tight and elastic, and soft at the same time, ecru flesh. After cutting a pieces of cheese, you see a horizontal layer of charcoal which is long used in the tradition of cheesemaking and now is has a decorative function. Natural skin of the cheese is beige and moist. Morbier cheese has a sharp aroma and sweet fruity taste. It melts very well and is a great ingredient of sauces and gratins. It is made from cow's raw milk. Fat content: 45%.
