Original Italian hard cheese which has been made according to a traditional formula for ages in the regions of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Modena and Mantua. Cheese manufacturing process is strictly supervised by the Parmigiano-Reggiano Consortium seated in Reggio nell´Emilia. Parmigiano Reggiano hard cheese is made from cow's raw milk. Its ripening period is at least 12 months, and the cheese has full and intense taste. Recommended for grating before consumption.
